She also has a BSc(Hons) Fitness & Health and our Master Practitioner award in Eating Disorders and Obesity. She uses a range of therapeutic approaches & has been trained in nutritional rehabilitation to support emotional change & help each person find their way to develop a more positive relationship with food. Vanessa strives to build a trusting relationship, to understand your story & help you to make sense of what is keeping you stuck. Helen Key

Helen is an experienced counsellor who uses an integrative approach, which has a basis in humanistic/person centred approach with touches of other related therapies such Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, Motivational Therapy and Transactional Analysis. Helen can provide nutritional information and education together with counselling for adults & young adults aged 16 years old & above. This holistic approach helps her clients to manage symptoms as well as underlying issues. As well as being an NCfED trained counsellor working with all aspects of eating disorders Helen has worked extensively with alcohol & drug misuse and addiction, compulsive behaviours, anxiety, self-esteem issues & depression.

Joanna is a NCFED Master Practitioner & qualified Nutritional Therapist with particular experience in weight management & eating distress, poor self-confidence & body image. Using practical interventions & nutritional help to support change in a relaxed and unpressured environment.

Gillian Hancock

Gillian offers a comprehensive counselling & psychotherapy service. She is a Master Practitioner in eating Disorders & Obesity & has helped many clients change their relationship with food, also dealing with difficulties with assertiveness, self-confidence & body image.  Gill takes a holistic approach with a combination of nutritional & psychological interventions; making sure that your journey to recovery is safe & effective. Gillian also works as a school counsellor so is aware of the intense pressures on young people, especially in social media, regarding their appearance & eating choices. She believes that change takes place when you are carefully heard & understood through a caring but professional relationship . Gillian also has many years’ experience working with depression, anxiety, bereavement & relationship issues.

Catherine Duggan

I am a counsellor/psychotherapist with an MA in Clinical Supervision, a qualified psychiatric nurse &  Master Practitioner of Eating disorders & Obesity. I use an integrative approach to help clients overcome their food problems where psychological or emotional factors are involved. I offer compassionate, professional & practical support for eating & body image issues, including bulimia, binge eating, restrictive eating, chronic dieting, food cravings & emotional eating. I would like to help set you free from problems with food & weight & I am qualified to work with young people

Liz Wicks Distance

Liz is an Integrative Therapist (BSc. Hons Psychology) who has worked as a counsellor/therapist since 1998. Liz works with people who have eating disorders & also has experience in working with depression, PTSD, anxiety, bereavement & anger issues. She works holistically to enhance wellbeing & create positive change.
