Shelley is an experienced Mental Health Nurse many years experience in the field. She holds a Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders & provides a challenging but positive journey experience towards emotional and physical well-being in a safe, therapeutic environment. She specialises in eating disorders and psychotherapy/therapeutic interventions & manages a specialist eating disorder service providing individualised & person-centered programmes for all types of eating distress. One-to-one sessions are available together with B-eat affiliated self-help support groups, carer advice & information clinics.

Sheena Gibson

Sheena is a counsellor & therapist whose pratice is informed by her fundamental belief in the human potential for growth & change given suitable & appropriate condtions & support. She has experience in working with different cultures & has worked with addiction, depression, eating disorders, anxiety, loss & bereavement. She works with adolescents, also in private practice & in an educational setting.

Melanie Phelps Distance

A chartered psychologist & qualified nurse of 18 years with a Bsc Hons in Psychology, a Diploma in hypnotherapy & MSc Counselling Psychology. Melanie offers professional & friendly help, support, guidance & therapy tailored to suit each person she treats. Telephone, internet & one to one sessions available.

Maryanne Steele

Maryanne is an experienced Psychological Therapist  & Eating Disorders specialist. She has long experience as a therapist within a NHS Eating Disorders service & now practices privately. She believes that change takes place when you are carefully heard & understood through a relationship which is central to recovery. She uses Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) & Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to help you make sense of WHY you have an Eating Disorder & through this understanding, gives you the tools & skills to work towards sustained recovery. She works safely within the NICE guidelines from assessment & throughout your treatment across the whole range of Eating Disorders. She will also see you if you are struggling with more complex Eating Disorder issues which  include Diabetes & Eating Disorders, Cross cultural issues, Binge Drinking, Self harming, or she can work with your antenatal team to help you through a pregnancy if you struggle with an Eating Disorder.

Kristina Franks

Kristina has a BSc Honours Degree in Human Biology. After training as a psychotherapist & counsellor she has practised for many years, specialising in relationship issues. Since obtaining her Advanced Diploma from The National Centre for Eating Disorders, she provides confidential help & support with binge eating, failed dieting, food cravings, bulimia & obesity.

Janice Chadwick

Janice has a post graduate diploma in psychodynamic counselling from Goldsmiths College, diplomas in psychology, psychotherapy & an advanced diploma in Eating Disorders.  Her experience includes working in a 6th Form College, junior school & a children’s hospital.  She has been practising for 15 years in her own practice seeing adults and adolescence. She has had to deal with various problems & experiences which have come her way.  She tries to find a way that you can come to terms with your problem & resolve the relationship between yourself, food & addiction.

Debbie Livingston

Debbie offers a comprehensive counselling and psychotherapy service. She is a Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders & Obesity specialising in Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder including compulsive eating, unsuccessful dieting & poor relationships with food. She provides triage, assessment, treatment &, when required, reporting. Debbie has an interest in Borderline / Emotionally unstable Personality Disorder; relationship difficulties, parenting skills, antenatal & post natal issues. Qualifications include: MA Couns. & Psych., PG Dip Couns. & Psych., Cert BPD., Master Practitioner EaD., Parenting Skills Practitioner. UKCP Registered Psychotherapist. Available for group trainings & workshops.

Christine El-Fourti

Christine has worked for 30 years in the care profession. Her background includes experience of working in varied areas of mental health, physical disability & bereavement. She is a qualified counsellor with a Master Practiitoner qualification in Eating Disorders & Obesity. She uses a cognitive behavioural approach to eating distress which involves educational & nutritional advice as well as psychological work. Please note when booking a telephone assessment with Christine she likes to see clients face-to-face for that initial appointment.

Adam Weston

Adam has worked in the therapeutic field for 20 years, in both private practice & in the voluntary sector. He is trained in Person Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy & Mindfulness Practice. He also draws on Psychodynamic approaches & Transactional Analysis. Adam is an accredited member of the BACP & NCFED as well as being a qualified clinical supervisor & provides supervision to both trainees & qualified counsellors..
