The programme
A high number of Autistic and neuro-divergent people experience disordered eating patterns, including restricted eating and ARFID. This two-day online course takes an inside-out approach to understanding how eating disorders may develop and affect the lives of Autistic and neurodivergent people. This will include understanding thinking styles, sensory sensitivities, communication and social interaction differences and preferences, hyperfocus/monotropism, self- regulating/stimulating routines (STIMS), special interests (SPINS) and much more!
This training is delivered by neuro-affirmative trainers.

Understanding of how neurodivergence and co-occurring conditions may lead to ARFID
Five strategies for supporting Autistic, CYP, adults & families experiencing ARFID / ED
Principles for refeeding at home & in the community
A chance to review & evaluate the relevant articles & range of evidence-based approaches that are indicated for Autism and EDs
An introduction to the Family Skills for Autism & Eating Disorders Programme
A robust understanding of the special principles for assessment and referral of the Autistic client with disordered eating
