Dr Pamela Portelli

Dr Pamela Portelli is a health psychologist, researcher, clinician & lecturer.  She worked as a PSED teacher for 15 years & as a guidance teacher within the anti-substance abuse team before pursuing her Psychology Masters in London in 2010 & PhD in Health Psychology in 2015. She is a practitioner of EMDR for trauma.

Her specialisms are addictions, eating disorders, e-health , chronic pain & she has worked with smoking cessation in the NHS, UK.  She now works at  Gozo General Hospital with clients experiencing diverse health problems including cancer, chronic pain, diabetes & chronic illness.  She also works within within a psychiatric setting for substance abusers & clients with mental health concerns. Rose-Ann Trapani

Rose-Ann is an NCFED Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders & Obesity, holding a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy & an MSc in Workplace Health & Wellbeing. As a certified & practicing Gestalt psychotherapist, she brings a holistic, relational approach to her work in both private practice & a hospital setting.
Her therapeutic style creates space for thoughtful, in-depth exploration of each person’s unique circumstances, needs, & relationship with food. She provides a supportive, compassionate environment where clients can safely examine patterns, understand emotional drivers, & develop new coping strategies that promote long-term wellbeing.
Within a multidisciplinary team, she works with individuals experiencing weight-management challenges & she has particular expertise in the psychological preparation for & adjustment after bariatric surgery. She helps clients navigate the emotional & cognitive shifts that accompany significant lifestyle changes, while exploring the underlying factors that may have contributed to their initial difficulties.
